Tonight TeamKid at Metairie Baptist will be about Jesus’ command and teaching on not to worry. As adults, we know what it means to worry about bills, jobs, and life in general. Sometimes we don’t acknowledge that children can fall prey to worry at a young age. It can be a coping mechanism in a dysfunctional environment, a learned behavior, and/or some biology may play a part in it.
Matthew 6 and 1 Peter 5:7 remind us that Jesus and His kingdom should have our affections, not our everyday needs and worries. Jesus does not promise wealth and safe circumstances, but He promises His presence and availability to all who give Him their anxieties.
